In a word, what the soul is to the body, Christians are to the world.
The soul dwells in the body, but is not of the body; likewise Christians dwell in the world, but are not of the world.
The Nature of Jesus
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”
These are virtues that define Jesus, and if we read His Word and spend time with Him in prayer on a regular basis, we will take on some of His attributes.
The Power to Choose
Everyday we make so many choices, one after the other after the other. All those choices put together equal our lives. The quality of our lives doesn’t just appear like magic (abracadabra … quality of life … voila!). The magic is in making good choices. But not only that, it’s in realizing that we have the power to shape what our lives become.
Thought Poison 1

Thought Poison 2
Conversation is a big part of our psychological environment. Some conversation is healthy. It encourages you. It makes you feel like you’re taking a walk in the warm sunshine of a spring day. Some conversation makes you feel like a winner. But other conversation is more like walking through a poisonous, radioactive cloud. It chokes you. It makes you feel ill. It turns you into a loser.
