The Bible tells us that because Jesus took the punishment for our sins, God promises, “I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Jeremiah 31:34
The Essence of Christmas
Christmas is best enjoyed when it isn’t centered on decorations, gifts, or festivities, but when love is at its core.
Why I Believe the Easter Story
I have been used for many years to study the histories of other times, and to examine and weigh the evidence of those who have written about them, and I know of no one fact in the history of mankind which is proved by better and fuller evidence of every sort, than the great sign which God has given us that Christ died and rose again from the dead.
—Thomas Arnold, English historian (1795-1842)
The Joy of Christmas
“Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” Luke 2:10
First, those “good tidings” are actually the best possible news: In sending Jesus, God threw open a door for us to make our way back to Him.
The Nature of Jesus
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.”
These are virtues that define Jesus, and if we read His Word and spend time with Him in prayer on a regular basis, we will take on some of His attributes.
