A Parent’s Prayer
Oh, heavenly Father, make me a better parent. Teach me to understand my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say, and to answer all their questions kindly.
May I ever be mindful that my children are children and I should not expect of them the judgment of adults.
Give God Time
You know, prayer in its highest meaning is not pleading with God or demanding things, but it is communion with God, throwing your whole being open heavenward, God-ward, and waiting for the divine response.
In a Fog?
I’m sure you can think of times in your life when you had to make a certain decision but you couldn’t seem to get any answers; but when you waited in prayer and with faith, trusting God to come through for you, He eventually made the way clear—and you were glad you’d waited and trusted.
